This work is presented as a site-specific installation of poetic text across Arts House for Mainit Illusion, an collaborative exhibition between Saluhan Collective and Liquid Architecture.
The work draws on first-contact accounts between Spanish imperialists and Indigenous tribes on Limasawa Island in Cebu. The poem takes a non-linear approach, incorporating historic, cultural, and personal Filipino references exploring collective and individual identity and the notion of existing here, there, or nowhere.
